LLH Clean Sweep Week 3rd week of July LLH staff will pick up everything you set on the curb! Examples of accepted items: appliances, furniture, lawn mowers, televisions, toilets & sinks, paints, tires, oil, batteries & car parts; everything you put out! Please place toxic items in a separate area. Linville Materials Recovery Site 3070 Newland Hwy (On the way to Newland on 181) Household waste, Recyclables (glass separately), home construction waste, metal waste Attendants will help you unload and place in the proper receptacles. Avery County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day 775 Cranberry St, Newland, behind the Board of Education 2020 date not available. Usually the 4th Saturday of August, 9am-3pm. Signs will be posted on roadside indicating collection area. Workers will unload your vehicles. Accepted Items: Pesticides and herbicides, all types of paint, paint strippers, stains and varnishes, petroleum products, glues related to adhesives, cleaners and drain openers, all types of batteries, old gas, oil and antifreeze. E-waste including televisions, computers, monitors and assorted electronics.
